Nike CEO Confirms "Kobe Day" Launches On August 24th
According to Brendan Dunne, Nike CEO, John Donahoe, plans to "relaunch the Kobe Brand" with Kobe Day on August 24th (8/24). The date is perfect as it comprises both jersey numbers worn by the LA Lakers legend during his career.
We've known for a few months that the releases would hit full swing now that Nike and the Bryant Estate agreed to renewed terms, but we have only seen the Nike Kobe Protro 4 "Mambacita" thus far. Rumors of the Kobe 8 dropping in "Radiant Emerald" and "Court Purple" have bounced around for a while. Nike has confirmed the Kobe Nike Air Huarache PE.
